Chapter One- The Moons Rays
The moon was shining bright over the town that night, the bald trees were becoming luminous in its earth consuming light. All that could be heard was the blowing of the wind and eerie movement of the leaves covering the ground. When suddenly in the moonlight, a figure could be seen arriving in the town. Walking at a fast pace, leaving the sound of its heels echoing on the pavement. No distinction could be made of who they were. Despite the moon shining on their face he or she still covered themselves with a hood. The figure continued to walk the streets of the town, occasionally glancing at the houses on either side of the street. They continued to walk until they reached the edge of the town. And at the edge of this particular town grew a large forest. The figure stopped for a moment as they reached the mouth of the forest, turning its head left and right. As if it was if it was searching or trying to avoid something from finding it. Reaching into its cloak the figure pulled out a strange, shiny stone. Looking at the stone for a moment, then throwing it on the ground. As they did the stone exploded, sending a purple force to scan the perimeter. A sound could be heard from that force, not a boom, not a crash, but a vibration. The noise was so intense that it began to shake the ground. Causing the trees to shake, sending more leaves to fall. Clearly the figure could not stand the stones vibrations either. Because when dropped the stone they quickly covered their ears. To their relief the intense shaking of the ground stopped. Cuing the figure to uncover their ears, then slowly enter the forest. Their cloak billowing in the wind as they continued their walk the path to the forests heart. Giving no sound but the crunch of their heels on leaf littered grounds. After ten minutes of walking they reached the heart of the forest. The figure looked up, all that could be seen was the moon in the center of the sky. Shining brightly over the heart of the forest, Illuminating the pasty skin of the figures hands. The figure once again reached into its cloak, pulling out not one but four stones. They drew a diamond around the center of where they once stood. They placed the stones in each corner of the shape, then moved away to wait. Wait for some type of reaction to come from the diamond and its stones. The ground began to shake once more, light glowing from each of the stones. Fueling the lines of the diamond with a violet glow. In the center of the diamond arose a cube shaped pedestal, with the most beautiful, shining exterior. It had white inscriptions on all four of its faces, similar to those of hieroglyphics. The figure gazed at the pedestal for a moment, its shining exterior putting them in awe. Then, breaking itself from the trance, the figure pulled a staff from its cloak. A long, wooden staff, with a crescent curve at its top end. Tapping the ground four times with its staff, the figure stood there, waiting. Suddenly light began to glow from the pedestal..... To be continued......
